The 90-mile journey through the park provides an introduction to Denali National Park and some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Your stay begins with an interpretive bus tour along the Denali Park Road to Camp Denali and North Face Lodge. We depart from the Denali National Park train depot at 1:00 pm on your arrival day, and spend the rest of the afternoon, and into the evening, traveling through Denali National Park's vast wilderness.
All our drivers are naturalist guides who discuss the geology, ecology and history of the park as we travel through it. As we make stops to view wildlife or scenery, you may catch your first sight of a caribou, Golden Eagle, grizzly bear or even the high peaks of the Alaska Range.
A hearty, picnic-style dinner is served midafternoon as your evening meal. Regular bathroom stops at National Park Service facilities provide additional chances to stretch your legs before arriving at the lodges around 8:00 pm.
