Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.

Just as important as the participation of the owners in the day-to-day operation of the business, is the tremendous effort of 46 summertime staff and five year-round staff that the lodges require for their smooth functioning.
Our seasonal staff comes from Alaska, the Lower 48, Hawai'i, and abroad. In the off-season, they may be found on the local pond hockey rink, at the South Pole, on a remote Pacific island, and anywhere in between in the pursuit of travel, education, work and fun.
Working at Camp Denali and North Face Lodge is not for the faint of heart; it requires a commitment to work hard and be a participant in a small, close-knit, self-sufficient community. We are grateful year after year to work alongside such a diverse, interesting, and dedicated group of individuals.

We are fortunate to work with a hardy few who have committed to brave the cold, dark days and nights of winter to work with us year-round. These few are essential to our business and are the people with whom you will most likely speak when calling our
office October through April. On any given winter morning, you might see them out at -20F, bundled beyond recognition, as they bike, ski or walk their way to our winter office in the protracted darkness.
As business owners, we feel extremely fortunate to be able to attract a few good people to work with us year-round who, like we do, feel privileged to live and work in the heart of the Alaska Range, on the edge of this magnificent wilderness park.

Program Manager
Jeff's work as a field biologist, educator, and backcountry guide has taken him to some of the world's most beautiful places, but he always ends up coming back to Alaska; this is his third stint in Denali National Park. He enjoys geeking out about nature with his wife and two sons, drinking coffee on porches, and making ludicrous contraptions out of Legos.
Office Manager
After taking a few years to indulge her deep-seated wanderlust, MJ rejoined our year-round staff in 2015. She discovered Denali through seasonal employment in 2003 and never really left! You’ll likely find her headed somewhere on an airplane, watching a Michigan State football game, or playing guitar.
Personnel Manager
Megan hails from the West Coast (Seattle and the Bay Area), but has lived in the South, Midwest, and New England. Her first trip to Camp Denali was to visit her now husband, Red, who was working as a Naturalist Guide. The friendships formed amongst the Camp Denali community were what made her want to be the Personnel Manager. Megan is embracing Alaska life and aspires to become a respectable quilter and cross-country skier.
